Production Guard ("we", "our", or "us") is a professional device management and crew coordination application built for film, television, and live event productions. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have regarding your data.

By using the Production Guard app or website at productionguard.app, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

Information We Collect

Account Information

• Email address (used to create and authenticate your Production Guard account)
• License key (generated at purchase, used to activate the app)

Location Data

• Precise GPS location of enrolled crew and contestant devices, collected while the app is in use
• Location data is visible only to the Production Manager who administers the production
• Location tracking is a core feature of the service and is required for the app to function

Production & Activity Data

• Production names and configurations you create
• Crew member enrollment records
• In-app messages sent between users within a production
• Activity logs (check-ins, device status events)

Device Information

• Device identifiers used for kiosk mode enforcement
• App version and operating system version for support purposes

How We Use Your Information

• To authenticate your account and validate your license
• To display crew and contestant locations to the Production Manager
• To deliver in-app messages between production participants
• To enforce device lockdown (kiosk mode) as configured by the Production Manager
• To maintain activity logs accessible to the Production Manager
• To send transactional emails (license keys, receipts) to the email address provided at purchase
• To respond to support requests

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising.

Data Sharing

We use the following third-party services to operate Production Guard:

• Supabase — database, authentication, and backend infrastructure. Data is stored on servers in the United States. (Supabase Privacy Policy)
• Stripe — payment processing for license purchases. Production Guard does not store payment card information. (Stripe Privacy Policy)
• Resend — transactional email delivery for license keys and receipts. (Resend Privacy Policy)

We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

Location Data — Important Notice

Data Retention

• Account and production data is retained for as long as your account is active
• You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at support@productionguard.app
• Payment records are retained as required by applicable financial regulations

Children's Privacy

Production Guard is intended for use by adults in a professional production environment. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS), secure authentication via Supabase Auth, and access controls that restrict production data to authorized managers. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal data including the right to access, correct, or delete your information. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@productionguard.app.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of Production Guard after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
